LETYZA LUNA was born in Granada and now lives on the Costa Tropical. She is a photographer specialising in abstract nature photography (plants/flora). She has a background in fine and visual arts and is influenced by Spanish abstract hotographer, Ouka Leele.
Her works have a fresh and uplifting feel, drawing upon our beautiful Granada ‘tierra’.
Local inspiration…
She says: “My grandmothers were from La Alpujarra. From them, I inherited my love for the land, which I still cultivate organically for my own consumption. As a photographer, the first thing I do daily, when I visit the land, is observe passionately what is around me.”
She adds: “Shooting my camera with macro lenses at the precise moment is essential. Later, using painting and graphic arts, I play with expressing beauty. My creative universe is of intense chromatism, macro photography, painting, and graphic art orbiting together.”
