AS THE LAST event of the summer programme, the Órgiva town hall staged a large-scale DJ event in the Plaza de Culturas on Saturday 15 August.
Attended by at least 500 people, many of whom were wearing white outfits, the Noche en Blanca event featured several DJs headlined by Tom Brusse. The music ranged from tech house to reggaeton (a firm favourite with the enthusiastic teen contingent) to more traditional Spanish fiesta tunes.
The event ended at 6am, with some older people saying it was “loud”.
The main annual Órgiva fiesta takes place from 26-29 September, with the annual entertainment. These include music in the municipal carpa, a migas bake-off, and the ‘cinta de caballos’ race where equestrians try to grab ribbons from a hanging rope. More information coming soon….
